Daily Schedule

Please note that each of the WV PreK programs have schedules specific for their classroom. Outside times do vary because the classrooms share this space. The following is an example of a WV PreK classroom.

7:30 am - 8:30 am	Greeting/Child-Initiated Activities
8:30 am - 9:00 am	Breakfast
9:00 am - 9:15 am	Calendar Time learning number, letters, months, days of the week, seasons, problem solving, direction of print
9:15 am - 9:30 am	Work Stations small group activities-teacher will be able to work more one on one with the children to develop their skills
9:30 am - 10:30 am	Child – Initiated Activities center play – developing Social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills
10:30 am - 11:30 am	Large Group Activity/ Outside Activities Class will be split into two groups; first group will have a 30 minute group time while the other group has outside activities. The groups will then switch. Activities are based on a theme of the week. See “My Day” for daily description.
11:30 am - 12:00 pm	Lunch
12:00 pm - 12:20 pm	Brush Teeth/Potty/Read books/Movement activities
12:30 pm - 2:00 pm	Nap
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm	Snack/Prepare for departure
2:30 pm - 3:00 pm	Outside Activities
