Things We Do

National Accreditation

The child care center has been nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1996. Currently, West Virginia has only 24 centers that hold this national recognition. This status is acquired by conducting a self-study of 10 quality standards and receiving a site visit to verify compliance. Families rely on NAEYC Accreditation to ensure the quality of education and care provided in programs for young children. NAEYC Accreditation is the mark of quality, helping parents finds the best possible early childhood experience.

Tier III Child Care Center

Early Education Station currently holds the West Virginia Tier III Quality Program status through the Department of Health and Human Resources. This recognition verifies that the center has achieved the highest quality standards in child care and has met all requirements for a Tier III status in quality level.

WV Exemplary Program

During the years of 1999 and 2000, West Virginia honored exemplary child care centers. Our program was selected for recognition as one of ten exemplary programs in West Virginia serving young children and their families in 1999. Our program was also selected as one of nine early care and education programs that received honorable mention in 2000. This recognition program was sponsored by the Quality Improvement Committee of the Governor’s Early Childhood Implementation Commission.
